A Maiden's Hell

Erica Colt, to the outside world is a picture of perfection. She is beautiful, easy going, well mannered, and has a firm religious background, and from a young age she had grown to be quite popular, but what people didn't realize was all the other traites that announced her meant nothing. For inside she was tormented by a secret that she was forced to keep throughout the duration of her life. This secret soon would seep out and ruin the very things that made people adore her. It started out as nothing at first, a gentle grasp of the hand, a playful swat from behind, but in time it grew to affect every aspect of her social life.
She found herself lonely, with no one to turn to, confide in, or even to date, for fear that her mate may find out about what she is hiding. This seclusion was the only way of keeping faith, and it was fine with her, until one day she was to fall in love, then everything changed. While she was hiding back pieces of her past, her young boyfriends were walking on eggshells around her trying not to upset her in anyway. This eventually ruined any relationship she may have had thus leaving poor Erica alone again to weather the storm. As though she hadn't enough to deal with Erica was soon faced with another problem, while she was out courting boys, her best friend Samantha was falling in love with her. It would Samantha's obsession that would take all the bad out of Erica's life, but eventually she ruins Erica's whole belief in anything Good as well.
