I am Back

My goodness, time sure does fly when you are enjoying yourself and keeping busy. That's why I haven't been around much. I have been doing that writing thing and babysitting two of my grandchildren.I had a book event this past Saturday and I did sell some books. I also met some interesting literary people from a school board who was interested in my  book, "Broken Voices". The Sunny Side of January

Well, actually it is not sunny one bit today. There is an overcast and snow is heading our way. I must say, I am not a winter/snow type of person. I like the heat! The hotter the better. Nothing much going on in my world lately. I am still working on a new Y/A book and of course I am still doing my freelance writing gigs. I do have enough to keep me busy, plus I just downloaded a new Nook e-reader to my PC. I am planning on getting my read on.  Does anyone know the difference between the Nook…See More

Today was the Big Day

October 13th finally arrived. I almost forgot about it because I was tuned in to my TV set, watching "Whose Smarter than a 5th Grader." When I thought about it, I jumped up, ran to my computer desk and tuned in. I was very impressed with the way the interview turned out. I must say, my hubby and I both had a big grin on our faces while we listened. As soon as it was over, I darted over to my social website and started blasting the news. Hi, Your books look wonderful. You asked what I had been up to, well...I have four children's books out, The Princess and the Castle, The Prince and the Dragon, Crying Bear and my latest release is Buzzzzzzzz What Honeybees Do.  I'm working on my next book hoping to have it released by fall 2011, but it might be fall 2012. I've been super busy, we went to Maine and started an online tv channel called Coastal Maine TV http://www.coastalmainetv.com and I'm Lead Reporter and Interviewer, I love it. Shortly after arriving in Maine I had a book signing that was great fun, I was guest speaker at a retired teachers group. Then had a book signing afterwards. It looks like you are writing another book and congratulations on your books being picked up by a traditional publisher. Brava!!

The Pajama Party story times are only an hour long. The kids wear their pajamas and bring teddy bears to the bookstore. Then I play music, read stories, and do activities, all related to bedtime. I sign books afterwards, and then we all go home.
