Kita's Gentle Message: Darwin's Survival of the Fittest Barking Up the Wrong Tree (Sat. May 12, 2012)

I went to hear Gregg Braden  (http://www.greggbraden.com/) speak last night.  He’s a scientist and cosmologist who’s bridging science and spirituality through his decades-long quest to investigate indigenous people, their history and particularly their world view/their understanding of the earth and its cycles.  From Gregg’s perspective, our western world has modeled its systems on Darwin and the principle of “survival of the fittest” (Darwin actually used “strongest” here) when in fact, nature is predominantly inclined to cooperate not compete.   Furthermore, if you examine the wording of Darwin, he “infers” that his theory is correct; he does not prove it and is the first to admit it within the pages of his “Origin of Species”.  Interesting and encouraging.

Take care,

Kita
